KILKEE FIRE BRIGADE CHARITY CAR WASH RAISES €1,550.00 FOR WEST CLARE CANCER CENTRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A big shout-out to John Garvey, Station Officer, Kilkee Fire Brigade and to his fellow firemen and firewoman! James Lucey, Fergal Mcgrath, Gerard Hennessy, Gerard Geary and Deborah Hickie for the fantastic sum of €1,550.00 raised on Saturday 28th January last for the West Clare Cancer Centre in Kilkee. Sincere thanks to everybody involved.
Congratulations to everybody who took part in the 19th Annual West Clare Mini Marathon on Sunday 29th January last, a day that once again demonstrated that tight-knit community spirit and ability to come together to ensure the continued provision of cancer care services for the people of West Clare – a force that has been evident since the beginning nineteen years ago – a force to be reckoned with! Kudos to you, the people.
Life will not always go according to plan and all we can do is manage the hand we have been dealt as best we can. A cancer diagnosis is like to having the rug pulled from under you and, unfortunately, while we cannot change that or fix it, we can offer our services – free of charge – to help you and your family members on this difficult journey. The 13th annual Gortglass Christmas Day Swim raised €4,745.00 for the West Clare Cancer Centre in Kilkee. This is a fantastic accomplishment and huge thanks indeed to to John O’Connell, Clonkerry, Labasheeda and event organisers and participants. The group so far have raised in excess of €70,000.00 for cancer care services in West Clare – a truly tremendous achievement by local people in a small, West Clare community. Heartfelt thanks to all of you.
