Congratulations to Marcella O’Callaghan and the Lynch family on the fantastic turnout for Sunday’s ‘Truck Run’ in Memory of Tommy Lynch, Kilkee.
Approximately 75 HGV Drivers picked up the baton and formed a convoy from Kilkee to Kilbaha – if not to Terminate – to do battle with, an age old foe, cancer. Once again, the call to arms did not go unheeded and proves that not even cancer can quell the irrepressible human spirit.
Until this time next year, Hasta La Vista……

Tommy Lynch Memorial Truck Run 17th April 2016

The Tommy Lynch ‘Truck Run’ Memorial Fundraiser will be held on Sunday 17th April next, the proceeds of which will be very kindly donated to The West Clare Mini Marathon Centre here in Kilkee and Milford Hospice in Limerick. Food and entertainment will be available after the event in Morrissey’s Bar, Carrigaholt and music will be provided by Patsy Downes. €920.20 raised for West Clare Cancer Centre by Garrihy’s Bar Moyasta!!!!

The Committee of the West Clare Cancer Centre wishes to express a sincere ‘Thank You’ to Michael Garrihy and everybody at Garrihy’s Bar Moyasta for their professional darts exhibition fundraiser held on 27th February last, which raised an astonishing €920.20 for the Centre here in Kilkee. Michael is a stalwart supporter of the West Clare Mini Marathon Centre and we are truly grateful to him for his ongoing commitment and dedication.

18th Annual West Clare Mini Marathon

The organising committee of the 18th Annual West Clare Mini Marathon wishes to congratulate each and every participant who braved the elements for the provision of Cancer Care Services in West Clare. Thanks also to Garrihy’s Bar in Moyasta for their assistance on the day, to Hayes Shop in Kilkee for the provision of much-needed post event tea & coffee, to our stewards, cyclists and gardai who kept us safe on the day and to everybody who contributed in any way in making Sunday a resounding success.
