Sincere thanks to Pats Hassett and her comrades in arms who pimped their rides and tricked out their bigwheels for the 5th Annual West Clare Tractor Run on Sunday 16th July 2017, raising an astonishing €4,140.00 in what was another beautifully choreographed production from Pats and Team West. Thanks also to Mags KeaneMorrisseys Bar Carrigaholt and to everybody involved in this great event. Roll on 2018 when Pats will once again ascend her Iron Throne and marshal the forces to do battle for the people of West Clare………..

COUNTY CLARE GOLF OUTING BENEFIT FUND NEW YORK 2017 RAISES SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR WEST CLARE CANCER CENTRE KILKEE!!!!!!!
The Committee of the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre wishes to express its deepest gratitude to P.J. Harvey, Chairman, Pat Boland, President, Tony Nolan and fellow Officers of the COUNTY CLARE GOLF OUTING BENEFIT FUND, INC., New York, for their fantastic donation of Seven Thousand Dollars (€5,739.12) to the West Clare Cancer Centre here in Kilkee, from their 2017 annual golf classic fundraiser held in Douglaston Golf Club on July 27th last.
The Charity, now in it’s 22nd year, supports causes in Ireland and in the USA – the West Clare Cancer Centre, St. Clare’s School in Ennis and YWCA White Plains Special Needs Programs in New York. We are deeply appreciative of the on-going commitment and dedication of everybody involved.

Annual 10K Charity Walk

The Clare Association Dublin has chosen the West Clare Cancer Centre to be the beneficiary of their annual charity walk for 2017.

The Annual Martin Corry Memorial 10K Walk will take place in Clontarf, Dublin 3 on Sunday 24th September next.  The starting point is Clasac, CCE Building, Alfie Byrne Road, in Clontarf, Dublin 3.

Following the walk, light food, refreshments and Irish musical entertainment will be held in the Centre in Clontarf.  For further information, contact info@clareassociation.ie

We have a sponsorship card in the Centre in Kilkee if people would like to drop in make a contribution.

8th Annual Dan O’Halloran Memorial 5K Race – Saturday 5th August 2017

The 8th Annual Dan O’Halloran Memorial 5K Race will kick off from Kilmihil Community Centre at 2pm on Saturday 5th August next.  Registration takes place at 12 noon.  The proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will be donated to the West Clare Cancer Centre, Milford Hospice and Kilmihil Community Centre.  We are very grateful to Carmel O’Halloran and her team of people for their commitment and dedication to the West Clare Cancer Centre over the past number of years.

Cara’s going for the chop!

Local girl and ‘everyday hero’ Cara Conway, Doonaha, Kilkee, Co. Clare, will be squaring up to cancer on July 26th next by donating her beautiful hair to the Rapunzel Foundation which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through alopecia & illness. The proceeds from Cara’s fundraiser are being donated to the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre here in Kilkee and we are very grateful to both Cara and her mam Michelle Conway for this amazingly generous and thoughtful gesture.

5th Annual West Clare Tractor Run Sunday 16th July 2017

The 5th Annual West Clare Tractor Run will take place on Sunday 16th July next. Registration will take place at Keane’s Bar, Carrigaholt at 12pm and participants will leave at 1pm sharp!  Route – Carrigaholt to Loophead along the Wild Atlantic Way and back again.  Music & entertainment in Morrissey’s Bar from 2-4pm with the Higglers.  Come along for a great day out and all for a great cause! 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜

Querrin Creek to Lisdeen 6km Charity Walk & Run Friday 7th July 2017

CHARITY WALK & RUN FOR WEST CLARE CANCER CENTRE FRIDAY 7th JULY!!!!!
The second annual 6km Charity Walk & Run from Querrin Creek to Lisdeen Church will take place on Friday night, 7th July next. Registration takes place at 7:00pm at Querrin Pier. Walkers will start at 8:00pm followed by runners at 8:30pm. Children can participate for free. Refreshments will be served afterwards in Keanes Oyster Bar Lisdeen. All proceeds are being donated to the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre in Kilkee.
Last year’s event raised an astonishing €2,670.00 for the provision of cancer care services for the people of West Clare. Sincere thanks to the organising committee and good luck to all participants!
