CHARITY DANCE IN AID OF THE WEST CLARE CANCER CENTRE FRIDAY 12th MAY
A night of great music and dance will be held at the Bellbridge House Hotel in Spanish Point on Friday May 12th in aid of the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre. The line-up includes artists such as Patsy Downes, Alan Kelly, the Eugene Donnellan Dancers, Marian Kirby, William Reidy and Joe Searson & Friends. Special guests on the night are Eamon Jackson and Luka Bloom. Tickets are just €10.00 and are available from the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre and the Bellbridge House Hotel. Finger food will also be served on the night. Come along for a great night’s entertainment, all for a great cause!

TALTY’S STORES LISSYCASEY RAISE €865.00 FOR WEST CLARE CANCER CENTRE KILKEE!!!!!!
A huge ‘thank you’ to Cathal Talty and to the staff and patrons of Talty’s Stores Lissycasey for the amount of €865.00 donated to the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre from their ‘Movember’ fundraiser held last year, to raise awareness of men’s health issues. We are extremely grateful to Cathal for making the Centre in Kilkee the beneficiary of this annual fundraiser as he has done over the past number of years.
Huge thanks to Joe Russell, Managing Director, Eileen Deloughery, Brendan Murphy, Kevin Kenny, Michelle Lorigan and Selena McCarthy, of Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, Doonbeg, who helped raise the staggering sum of €7,100.00 for the West Clare Cancer Centre in Kilkee. The organising committee planned various fundraisers throughout 2016 including a Coffee Morning & Cake Sale in the marquee on July 5th and a very successful Golf Classic on October 21st last. Once again, thank you all most sincerely for your altruism and effort.

KILKEE FIRE BRIGADE CHARITY CAR WASH RAISES €1,550.00 FOR WEST CLARE CANCER CENTRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A big shout-out to John Garvey, Station Officer, Kilkee Fire Brigade and to his fellow firemen and firewoman! James Lucey, Fergal Mcgrath, Gerard Hennessy, Gerard Geary and Deborah Hickie for the fantastic sum of €1,550.00 raised on Saturday 28th January last for the West Clare Cancer Centre in Kilkee. Sincere thanks to everybody involved.
Congratulations to everybody who took part in the 19th Annual West Clare Mini Marathon on Sunday 29th January last, a day that once again demonstrated that tight-knit community spirit and ability to come together to ensure the continued provision of cancer care services for the people of West Clare – a force that has been evident since the beginning nineteen years ago – a force to be reckoned with! Kudos to you, the people.

The 13th annual Gortglass Christmas Day Swim raised €4,745.00 for the West Clare Cancer Centre in Kilkee. This is a fantastic accomplishment and huge thanks indeed to to John O’Connell, Clonkerry, Labasheeda and event organisers and participants. The group so far have raised in excess of €70,000.00 for cancer care services in West Clare – a truly tremendous achievement by local people in a small, West Clare community. Heartfelt thanks to all of you.
The 19th Annual West Clare Mini Marathon will take place on Sunday 29th January 2017.
